Amy Lee Hartzler, de son vrai nom Amy Lynn Lee, est une chanteuse, pianiste et claviériste née le 13 décembre 1981 à Riverside en Californie, leader du groupe.
Terry Balsamo est un guitariste américain né le 9 octobre 1973 qui commença à jouer de la guitare à l'âge de 13 ans. Il fut guitariste du groupe de hard rock Cold avant de rejoindre Evanescence en janvier 2004.
Terry était électricien avant de faire de la musique son métier.
Tim McCord est l'actuel bassiste d'Evanescence. Il est né le 28 juin 1979 a Sacramento (Californie) et il est devenu bassiste d'Evanescence en août 2006. Il était auparavant guitariste dans le groupe sourire de révolution de 2000 à 2004.
Will Hunt est un batteur de rock. Hunt était batteur sur la tournée de Tommy Lee "Never A Dull Moment Tour", il faisait alors parti du groupe Skrape qu'il quitta en 2004 pour rejoindre Dark New Day.. En mai 2007, Hunt fut choisi pour remplacer Rocky Gray au sein du groupe Evanescence. Il a juste participé à la tourné de "The Open Door". Il est depuis retourné dans Dark New Day.
Troy McLawhorn est un guitariste.. Il commença à jouer avec le groupe doubleDrive qui se sépara en décembre 2003.. En 2004, McLawhorn rejoignit Dark New Day.. En mai 2007, McLawhorn est désigné pour remplacer John LeCompt au sein du groupe Evanescence Il a juste participé à la tourné de "The Open Door".. Il est depuis retourné dans Dark New Day.

Nouvel Album

Les rumeurs se précisent sur le nouvel album du groupe. Après les rumeurs comme quoi ils auraient enregistré 4 démos dans le genre de la chanson "haunted", voici que le futur album devrait sortir pour 2006! L'album serait attendu pour mars 2006, et le premier single pour la mi janvier.

Evanescence

Je ne sait pas pourquoi, mais l’envie me prend de vous parler de l’un des mes groupes de rock préféré, c’est « Evanescence ».
J’ai découvert ce groupe à peu prés comme tout le monde lors de la sortie du film « Dardevil » dont il ont signé la bande annonce « Bring me to life ». Et j’ai découvert par la même occasion « Amy Lee » (la chanteuse du groupe). Pour paraphraser un grand magazine je dirais, enfin un groupe de rock où la fille ne fait pas que jouer de la figuration. En effet, elle a écrit et composé la majorité des titres de l’album « Fallen », ce qui m’amene à vous parler des paroles justement.
Outre la musique, ce qui fait la force du groupe ce sont les paroles. Rien à voir avec les autres groupes ou les autres chanteurs qui passent leur temps à nous casser les oreilles avec des histoires d’amour à ne plus finir, « Evanescence » ont pris le partie de nous parler de Dieu, de la mort, du suicide et de mal de vivre…. C’est un peu morbide, je l’avoue, mais ça nous change des « je vais bien, tout va bien » qu’on entend depuis longtemps.
Pour ceux que ça intéresse, je vous ai mis quelques fonds d’écrans d’ « Evanescence » histoire d’admirer les beaux yeux bleu d’« Amy Lee ».
